This hotel is equal to 3 stars. Designer place, suits us fine. Don't forget to explore Oud-West district...
It's not their fault, but the street was noisy.
The hotel was nice and clean, good location, minute away from the tram stop
Recommend and would stay here again. Staff was helpful plus location was excellent. Loved that we were upgraded to a suite.
Nothing that i didn't like.
Lovely location! not far from nearby a wonderful park, five minutes walk from trams the city centre
I took a night in this hotel quite early for work and truth is that I was afraid of what I would find. I read some very good reviews and some bad ones and I didn't know which part was true or not. In my case I am delighted. Taking into account the average price of the hotels in Amsterdam and more in a week of Fair with full of hotels, relation quality/price is incredible. It cost me 67 euros including taxes and other years I have been in hotels that cost me almost twice as much and were worse... don't be fooled, hotel is simple but comfortable. It is very well located, in fact I went from the airport to the Hotel in a bus, 397 (that I could take with my Chipkart card of transport of Amsterdam), in less than half an hour I was in the Hotel, walking about 5 minutes. Excellent. hotel is very well located with lots of tram lines next to it which makes it very easy to move around Amsterdam. At the reception they took care of me in perfect English and solved all my doubts. Once in the room I was surprised how spacious it was. It looked a bit dreary. I mean, it was very big but with few and simple furniture. For me it was perfect, for someone who wants to stay several days maybe it becomes very simple. truth is that I don't know if there are other different rooms in the hotel, for me it was fine. Several plugs to charge devices, furniture to work with computer, good Wifi and a big and sufficient bathroom. Simple but enough. Anyway, great discovery that I will try to book again next time I go to Amsterdam.
Location is excellent
One socket in the room.
Good location, museum square is within walking distance, grocery store is nearby, park is nearby, it was also convenient to get to/from the airport. The administrators are friendly, in English they say, the room is for four, in a budget style, but the most necessary things are there, as well as on the photo. Heating could be adjusted at your discretion.
Clean bed linen, especially pillowcases... The towels were changed every day, no complaints about them, the cleanliness of the bathroom is also satisfactory. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room, the city is cool after all. The hearing from the neighboring rooms and the corridor sometimes makes itself felt. Also be prepared to pay in cash, as there will be a 5% commission for cards, except the Maestro.
Excellent location, great combination of price and quality! Staff is friendly. room was clean and tidy, comfortable bed.
The staff were good and moved me to a different room for the 2nd night. As the first room was dirty, small and smelly.
The first room I had was appalling
The hotel feels quality. It was always clean and well presented. The staff were nice and having staying in another hotel nearby - I can say it is great value for money
Everything was very good but u should know- if u wanna new towels u need to ask about it every day.
I wanted to take 1 extra day...the girl by phone screamed to me-NOOOO, but after 5 min she called me back and he offer was if 1 pay 85 euro I can stay 1 extra day.....
Very over priced for the quality.
I stayed at Hotel Blyss because it is so convenient for the Concertgebouw, which is where the conference was held. This is a finance conference, run by students, that I have now attended every year for the last three years. The hotel is also close to major museums, and is very close to the Vondel Park, which is a pleasant park in which to stroll. I like everything about Hotel Blyss; rooms are nice, breakfast good, and staff helpful and pleasant. There are shops and cafes nearby, and cash points, also useful tram routes.
5 Minutes walk from Amsterdam center
It was fairly close to the centre and lots of restaurants. The double room was basic but nice. The hotel staff were very friendly.
When I booked the room in February, 8 months prior to my arrival, I specified that I wanted a 'double' room as opposed to a 'twin' room (you are able to make a specific request for this); my 'double' room request was confirmed in writing. However upon arrival I was allocated a 'twin' room. When I first challenged this I was told they had not received a specific request for a double room. Thankfully I had the email confimation with me, so they honoured my request, but they were not willing to change my room without proof of acceptance of my request for a double room. All was well in the end. Make sure you bring proof of any particular requests with you along with proof of their acceptance.
